2019 Declutter with Me Challenge!! || Minimalism Series

Hey Friends, 
So as you will already know if you have been following me for a while now I have been on a minimalism / decluttering journey for about two years now. I wrote a post on February 27th 2017 when it all began explaining why I wanted to start this journey. Since then I have learned so much. I have watched minimalist Youtubers, I have read decluttering books ( I have reviews of Marie Kondo’s – Life changing magic of Tidying-up  & Gill Hassons – Declutter Your Life
After all this time I would not call myself a minimalist as I do not believe life is better when you have little to no possessions. However I am passionate about only keeping the things in your life that bring you true happiness or add to your life in one way or another. 
I know that a lot of other people love the idea of this too but with life being so busy they can’t seem to find the time or maybe the task of decluttering seems mammoth and way too over-whelming. This is why I have come up with this challenge. 
Every week from now until the end of the year I will be setting a task of a different area to declutter in our lives. This means that all we have to do is find one window of time every week to declutter something. Now I am not say that if the bug hits you and you want declutter more that you can’t. By all means go ahead!! It just means that there will be less for you to do in the future. 
I will be doing this every week too & I think that by doing it together we can really support each and celebrate with each other too!! Please leave me a comment below if you would like to join The Great Declutter of 2019!! The best part is that by the end of the year the whole house will be decluttered and fresh rolling into the New Year. 

This weeks task

Clothing – Tops 

This week I am going to go through all my tops. This means everything from tanks, crop tops, bodies, cardis, jumpers, sweaters. Anything that you wear as a separate top that does not mean underwear or coats. 
So there we have our first task of 2019. Next monday I will be back to report on how I got on and set next weeks challenge.

  1. I started watching Marie Kondo's show on Netflix and it inspired me to start clearing out all of my spaces as well, especially my bedroom! Similarly to you I'm just making like weekly goals to keep myself on track and to keep getting tasks done without getting overwhelmed.
