To make a difference you don’t have to make a big dramatic change to your lifestyle by just making lots of little changes you too can save the world!

5 Simple Things

1. Reduce fossil fuel consumption

With so many alternatives out there it is completely possible to reduce your use of fossil fuels such as gas, oil, coal, turf or crude oil. By even just reducing by a little each week you will save a ton of money and you will be helping to save the planet at the same time.

Money Saved: All that money you would be spending on all that extra fuel.

2. Stop buying kitchen paper

Yes kitchen paper towels or roll can come in very handy but it’s a single use item that has no real purpose. Anything you need to clean up in the kitchen, you can do so by using a reusable kitchen cloth or as the are cutely named – unpaper towels.

Money Saved: All the money you were wasting on disposable paper towels

3. Use refillable products where possible

Lots of products we buy can be refillable from certain food and drink products to consumables like soap and other toiletries. If you notice that a product you are looking for has a refillable option then check out that one instead. You will reducing you consumption of unnecessary packaging.

Money Saved: Any money you would normally spend to dispose of all your packaging. Refills of products also tend to be cheaper then whole products.

4. Plug small appliances into an extension lead / cord

Plug small appliances into an extension lead / cord where possible that way you can turn them all off when they are not in use. This means not only are they not using electricity while on standby mode but your appliances will last longer too because they are not constantly in use.

Money Saved: You will have a cheaper electricity bill and your appliances may last much longer so you won’t have to replace them as frequently

5. Swap out light bulbs

You should try and swap out all you light bulbs (as they run out ) for efficient energy saving ones. Not only are you going to save money on your electricity bill but you will also be doing the planet a favour too!! It’s a small change but will have a much bigger impact then you realise.

Money Saved: All the money you will saved on your cheaper electricity bill

These are just 5 simple things you can change to help our beautiful home. If you work together I truly believe we can save our planet!
