5 Simple things
1. It takes all shapes and sizes
Fruit and veg come in all shapes and sizes. Just because they might look a little different doesn’t mean they are any less healthy or nutrious! If you see some mishapen fruit or veg don’t be afraid to pop it in your basket.
Money Saved: Admittedly you might not save money on this tips although some shops might give discounts for mishapen veg.
2. Wrap it up!
By now you might have already heard about beeswax wraps. They are reusable and enviornmentaly friendly. Pick up a pack rather than using cling film or alluminum foil to wrap up your sandwiches.
Money Saved: After buying them once you can reuse them again and again rather than buying cling film or tin foil over and over again!
3. It’s all about the baking soda
Baking soda is such a useful product not only for cooking but also as a multi-purpose cleaner. You can use it as a deoderiser and sprinkle it on the carpet before hoovering or it can be mixed with vinegar to be used as an oven cleaner. It really is a wonder product.
Money Saved: All the money you save by just using baking soda and not purchasing a load of different products.
4. One in, One out
This rule can be really difficult to stick to sometimes. By this I mean don’t buy a new product unless you are throwing the other one out. This would mainly apply to beauty products / skincare / toiletries. I struggle with this and I am by no means perfect but I do try. With most of my products I only have one.
Money Saved: All the money you will save on not buying multiple products and never even finishing them.
5. Bamboo hair tools
This is one I will be doing in the future. As I currently have a comb and hair brush there is no sense in throwing them out. However when they do need to be replaced I will be going for their bamboo counterparts.
Money Saved: Again this one probably won’t save you a heap of money but it will be a huge help to our beautiful planet!
These are just 5 simple things you can make to help save our beautiful home!
Please let me know in the comments if you decide to try out any of these changes or if you have any more ideas of your own! I would love to hear all about it!
